Here again with another simple (and maybe well known) trick.

Recently, I have enjoyed designing in Figma while on calls with my colleagues. I have found this useful for a few reasons,

  1. It keeps me accountable for doing my work (I get distracted easily sometimes).
  2. I love the instantaneous feedback I get when on a call with a teammate
  3. I learn useful tips and tricks in real-time. I really believe regardless of my experience using Figma, I always learn useful tricks from my colleagues and friends when working alongside them. It's one of those things that makes me sad not to be working in an office around other designers.

I digress; Below you will find the trick I learned recently. I have found this extremely useful and always wondered how effortlessly other designers resized their frames, even with many layers on their design.

  • Simply select the frame you would like to Resize
  • Click the handle in the corner to resize while pressing the Command key Voila!!

I am curious, do you enjoy working alongside other designers, or holing yourself up while you design?
