Recently, I was designing in Figma, and struggling to adjust an image within the frame. I have struggled with this often but never taken the time to figure out a quick hack to adjusting the image. One thing I have learned about myself since becoming a designer is that on many occasions I would rather struggle through a flow than to look or ask for help.

At the risk of becoming far too tangential, I will keep this short and simply say, asking for help will make you a far better designer. If you are anything like me, you may worry others will see your question as incompetence, but it is completely the opposite. Asking for help fosters growth in both your knowledge of design and your awareness of self.

I digress, after multiple attempts to adjust an image on my board, I googled hacks and found one.

Step 1: Select the image or element

Step 2: Hold the option button on the keyboard and double click the image with your mouse (or trackpad)

Step 3: Move and resize the image to the position of your liking.

Voila!

I am curious, do you have a hard time asking for help?
